The Sponsor's office delivers critical ITE services and ensures integrated system architectures across IC elements while directing all IC information-security policies and practices for national security systems. This role provides immediate support for configuration, patching, image management, troubleshooting, and Tier III escalation support across multiple classification domains.
The Systems Engineer will support the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise and site-level network environments across multiple classification domains. Key responsibilities include providing engineering-level support for Microsoft AVD and thin-client infrastructure, including host pool design, session management, and FSLogix integration.
Additional duties involve developing, managing, and maintaining standard operating environments (SOEs) and gold images for thin-client/AVD deployments, implementing and optimizing Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Conditional Access policies, and Intune configurations for thin-client environments. The role requires supporting integration with identity, mobility, and endpoint management systems, including Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Defender for Endpoint, and SCCM/Intune.
The position includes resolving escalated technical issues, performing root cause analysis, ensuring high system availability and performance, supporting operational documentation, change board coordination, and engineering-level troubleshooting across classified and unclassified environments. Close coordination with other teams is essential to ensure continuity of services.
Travel Requirement: Weekly or monthly travel between Sponsor locations in Tysons, VA and Bethesda, MD.
