We are seeking a Systems Engineer with extensive experience in video production infrastructure, software packages, and networks to support our organization's comprehensive video production capabilities across multiple business units.
The Systems Engineer will join an office that develops and implements overarching technology strategy for corporate business systems, building, deploying, and maintaining applications that support financial, security, medical, human resources, facilities, logistics, travel, and acquisitions functions. This role focuses specifically on video production infrastructure while promoting information technology and program management best practices.
The position involves working closely with video production specialists, multimedia design teams, and graphics teams to design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure supporting the organization's video production unit and its sister units. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for improving accessibility of internal IT systems, including Section 508 compliance and reasonable accommodations to enhance usability for all users.
Video Network Infrastructure: Demonstrated experience with video network infrastructure and diverse broadcast production workflows and storage configurations
Video Production Software: Proficiency with video production software packages including Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, AfterEffects, 3D modeling and animation software, and video/audio editing plug-ins and extensions
Broadcast Hardware: Experience with broadcast video hardware and studio equipment, including cameras, lighting kits, and audio recording/processing devices
Secure Video Processing: Knowledge of best practices for video network signal and footage processing from camera to mass storage in secure environments
Equipment Procurement: Experience researching and supporting procurement of broadcast video production equipment and software within secure environments
Security Requirements Translation: Ability to translate organizational security restrictions into specific procurement process requirements
Security Plan Development: Experience authoring security plans for video production networks and studios
Network Design & Configuration: Demonstrated experience designing and configuring video production networks
Network Maintenance: Experience maintaining and upgrading video production networks
Software Installation: Experience procuring and installing video production software within secure network environments
Security Approvals: Experience securing security approvals for hardware and software procurements and installations
Studio Equipment Installation: Experience installing video studio equipment including lighting systems, cameras, teleprompters, and audio equipment
Equipment Compatibility: Experience using adapters and peripherals to ensure video and audio equipment compatibility with secure video networks
Robust Security Planning: Experience authoring comprehensive security plans for video studios
Standardized Procurement Systems: Experience using standardized systems for equipment and software procurement
Workflow Development: Experience developing video production workflows for producers and directors
