Job Description

The Candidate shall provide engineering support for data triage and assessment in the field and at Sponsor's site. The position involves:

• Working closely with other resources to ingest new data and use it to inform new operations or opportunities
• Evaluating various data sets and incorporating a range of data triage capabilities
• Providing strategic guidance regarding operational opportunities
• Creating system artifacts such as Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation for data triage and analysis
• Supporting technical meetings with both domestic and foreign locations amongst stakeholders
• Facilitating data collection and analysis, triaging large amounts of data to assess operational value
• Providing engineering design and implementation of data triage capabilities
• Providing technical consultation and expertise to support the development of strategic operational goals

Mandatory Skills

The Candidate shall have the following required skills and demonstrated experience:

• Demonstrated experience with Hadoop
• Demonstrated experience understanding large distributed data systems, cloud infrastructure, and network architecture (Hadoop, Kafka, HBase, or Presto)
• Demonstrated experience with cloud, data management, and development environments: Specifically, AWS, HDFS, Cloudera, and SQL (as well as Spark or Presto)
• Demonstrated experience with programming skills in multiple languages (Java, Python, and Perl)
• Demonstrated experience in multiple computing environments (Window, Linux, and Mac OS)
• Demonstrated experience evaluating various data sets and incorporating a range of data triage capabilities
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic guidance regarding operational opportunities
• Demonstrated experience creating system artifacts such as Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation in conjunction with supporting documentation relative to data triage and analysis

Desired Skills

Skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not required to perform the work include:

• Demonstrated experience working in support to multi-disciplinary teams supporting network operations missions, familiar with the workflow and skills supporting a team incorporated of operations officers, technical officers, and operators
• Demonstrated experience supporting technical meetings in both domestic and foreign locations amongst stakeholders in direct support data triage and assessments
